Dedicated to the memory of Gemma Herring

This site is a tribute to Gemma Herring, who was born in Coleford on July 24, 1984. She is much loved and will always be remembered.
The death occurred at Sue Ryder Care, Leckhampton Court Hospice on 11th January of Gemma Herring aged 34 years, formerly of Oakfields, Coleford.

The funeral service took place at The Forest of Dean Crematorium on Tuesday 29th January with Mrs Sherry Phillips officiating. On entry into the crematorium a recording of To build a home by The Cinematic Orchestra was played. During the service, the poems She is gone by David Harkins, Hearts like wildflowers by Nikita Gill and A long cup of tea by Michael Ashby were read. The family tribute was given by Sherry Phillips and friends contributed their personal memories. During a period of quiet reflection Intro by The XX was played and the mourners left the chapel to a recording of The boy in the photograph performed by the Stereophonics.

The funeral arrangements were carried out by Ernest Heal & Sons, who are collecting donations for Bumblebee Conservation Trust which would be sincerely appreciated and these may be made online or sent to: Ernest Heal & Sons Funeral Directors, (Please make cheques payable to Ernest Heal Donations Account).
